Workshop
We pride ourselves on our workshop with a team of three fully trained mechanics. All are top level riders and are able to provide your bike with the same TLC they give to their own.
We don't generally do "menu" style servicing as we feel this doesn't represent good value. We can do as little or as much work as you require as our work is based on time.
Custom builds and disc brake work are our speciality.
We endeavour to fit you in as soon as possible, but we do get quite busy so call us to book a slot.
The Team
Andy Phillips - known as one of the South’s best mechanics, joined us in March 2010 and brings with him 15 years of knowledge and experience.
Not only has Andy previously competed at National Level in cross country, but now competes as a rally car racer with Great Britain rider, Stuart Bowers.
Dave Padfield - crossed from the world of IT to work at Ride in September 09. He has over 25 years experience in riding and windsurfing, ten of those winters spent living in the Caribbean.
More into fun racing than professionally competing, some of Dave’s greatest achievements are being chased by baboons in South Africa and leading some of the most spectacular crashes we’ve ever seen.
Jon Hayes - also one of the South’s best mechanics, has been with the business the longest and has over 20 years experience in road and mountain bike riding and racing.
Jon competes in a large number of races each year, including the TransRockies event in Canada. He has also spent many seasons being the mechanic on the 'Animal' world cup team.
